2013 Northern Thailand trip (1) Ayutthaya

大城其實滿無聊的。我們其實不是先到這裡，而是先去了清邁，再坐火車一路玩上去。但反正我想到誰就先寫誰囉哈哈。

為什麼覺得大城無聊，大概是因為前一天去了素可泰的關係。素可泰真的是個很美的地方，但還是不要扯太多。因為這篇是Ayuttaya篇。(笑)

Ayuttaya is boring. Actually we started our trip from Chiang Mai, then we took train heading south. But I write without chronology.

I think the reason why I feel bored with Ayuttaya is because we visited Sukhothai the day before. Sukhothai is so beautiful. But I think I should focus on Ayuttaya in this essay.

我們坐臥舖火車從彭士洛到達大城時已經半夜3點左右了。T和S人手一本lonely planet真的是幫了大忙，至少我幾乎很少出力，都他們兩個在規劃行程和找住宿點。必須要說，半夜的大城火車站真的感覺不是很正派，不過火車站半夜要長的很正派可能也有點難處。才剛坐下就有個嘟嘟車司機熱烈過來招呼，要我們考慮看看他介紹的住宿。

We arrived at 3:00 am. T and S used Lonely Planet to search some place to sleep. I have to say, I felt a little bit afraid in the train station after midnight even with 2 more people accompany me. A tuk-tuk driver came to  ask us to consider the place he try to introduce us. He is friendly, but we still feel a little afraid.






我們在大城是住這家PU INN，T的寂寞星球是2009年左右的版本，所以現在價錢都有上漲，不過他願意半夜讓我們check in 也是很感恩啦。裝潢得很漂亮，還開了兩間。據說新版本的LP已經沒有推薦這家了。我想也是有可能，因為後續的一些小事情顯示...。
We lived in PU inn. The price is arise according to the inf from the old version of lonely planet. We checked in at almost 4 am, it's very graceful for them to let us check in w/o any preservation. But this guesthouse is not on lonely planet anymore. I can see some reasons why after something happened....(but it's not serious though)

說真的整段旅程我實在去太多間廟了，搞到最後很膩。世界文化遺址素可泰去了以後，對大城的遺跡就真的滿無感的。雖然大城的遺跡比較完整些。我們在河邊一家書上推薦的餐廳吃了午餐，約了guesthouse的mini tour搭船去了三間廟，晚上在附近算頗大的夜市吃飯。第二天又去了一些廟宇......。這邊已經相當靠近曼谷了，所以感覺就是有種市膾的感覺瀰漫在空氣中。愛亂開價，也很愛黏著人推銷。(還好最後我們遇到老實的司機開出正常的價錢載我們去個廟後又載我們去搭小巴回曼谷)雖然我在曼谷都待了兩個月了，也是沒遇到啥壞人，但偶爾可以看別人心得說被偷被搶之類的。氣溫也比泰北熱，看到那些在附近餐廳chill的外國人都覺得他們很強，我真的完全覺得就有點熱，chill不起來啊！大概是泰北氣候真的太好了。

To be honestly, I think we had been too much temples, so I eventually felt tired of Wat visit. Not to mention we had been the world cultural heritage the day before..the structures of temple in Ayuttaya are better preserved than Sukhothai, but I still love Sukhothai more. We ate lunch at a riverside restaurant and than join a mini boat tour to visit 3 temples, then ate at the biggest night market in town. The second day, we visited other temples (yeah, temples again....).Ayutthaya is near Bangkok already. Somehow I feel the people are more sophisticated than the people in northern place( Though I didn't boom into some bad situations in Bangkok this 3 months, I still can read some people got rub or scam from their articles.), some touts in Ayutthaya like to stick you around and try to  convince you to take his tuk-tuk, but the price is too high according to the travel guide(new version!). Luckily we finally meet a honest driver who took us to a famous temple and then take us to take the bus to Bangkok.
The temperature is higher than northern place also. It makes me feel annoy and I can't relax in this degree. I really admire those who can sit in front of the restaurant and chill, because I can't, it's so hot! I like the weather in northern Thai more.

喔對了，整個大城之旅我最期待就是這顆頭。 ☺
Btw, this budda head is all I wanted to see before I really went there.☺
