3/7, I packed my belonging and took the flight to Delhi from Bangkok on my own. Actually I spent sometime discussed some details with my partner, Shun-Hsiao ( shortly as SH) , he is my former co-worker, Tim's senior high school classmate who recently studies PHD on Germany. We met each other at the New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport.
I think I will never forget his smile that night.
You know, we didn't see each other in person before, and when I arrived DEL, suddenly I realized that I had to move the different terminal to get the next flight which head to Varanasi(VAR). We just simply made a deal that we met at the gate of the flight to VAR.
I was so nervous about missing the flight and the problem of how to recognize him at the same time. There were some buses on the exit of this terminal. Those buses can take me to the terminal I want. When I arrived the exit, a bus was about to leave. I didn't know why I did this but I just jumped into this bus without hesitation.
Turned out that I had to use my flight ticket to get the free bus ticket. Since I didn't notice that, I have to pay 20 rupee for the fee.
20 rupee was not a big deal. But I didn't have any rupee with me.....A handsome Indian guy on that bus who was a gentleman chatted with me and then he wanted to pay that for me. But he only had some $100 dollar bills. So ended up I gave the bus driver 20 baht. HAHAHA!! (Hey, 20 baht =35 rupee!!)
After the bus, we were on the outside of the terminal. And it's dark. I tried to ask a vendor how can I get to the terminal I want, right after that, somebody hit my shoulder. I turned my head, it's SH.
I think I will never forget that smile. I don't know why.
He said that he was in the same bus with me. He said that someone in the bus already told him that there was an Asian in the bus also. Since we are Asians, it's quite easy for us to be noticed by Indians in India.
Then we took a small plane to VAR.
We stayed at Ganpati guest house for 2 night. I found this hotel in the lonely planet travel guide of India.
The guest house sent guys to drive us to the guest house (of course money charged).
The car sent us to down town area then we had to walk for 10 min to reach the hotel.
colorful, right? :)
There were so many people, so crowed...and finally we arrived the guest house.
Btw, one of the Receptionist looked like Pierre Gringoire at Notre-Dame de Paris (musical)
(Bruno Pelletier) to me. hahaha
I like this lock. It's Lord Ganesh.
They have a restaurant on the top floor where u can enjoyed the view of Ganges.
We walked into the lanes on the Varanasi. I can only say that those lanes were so dirty... lots of flies and dropping of cows... besides, it's like a big maze.
Believe me, SH took this photo because it was the top 3 clear lanes within Varanasi... others were soooooo incredible.... and I even step into a pile of shit ( of course it's from cows...)... A PILE....not A,
A PILE!!!
SH was so nice that he gave me his bottle of water for me to do the basic clean, then we headed to guest house to end first day of adventure. Haha, right, or what can we do when I got my feet full of shit?
It supposed to be embarrassing, but he didn't make me feel worse. hahaha I was so awkward!!!
Actually I didn't feel stomach upset in my whole journey. I just feel like I can digest better than before. I suppose that's because my stomach operated slowly, so it's nice for my stomach to have some intensities I guess. :P
Indian mix these two to have a fresh
breath after meal.

This town is misery. The atmosphere is special. Make u hate and love this place at the same time.
You say that u don't want to visit again. But u can't help but miss everything here.
I got sick seriously here. But I still feel it's worthy for visiting.
We took a boat on the river. It was so lucky that they held the annual big festival at the last night we were here.

ps.我好懶得翻譯成中文,其實也沒甚麼內容,我寫網誌比較注重自己的故事和感受。不是很重視旅遊資訊的帶出。改天有時間會補上中文版的 :)
